Abstract

Sustainable Regional Development has become a big challenge for the Universidad Autónoma de Manizales throughout its 30 years of academic existence and presence in the region. The University has contributed to social and political construction of the Coffee Ecoregion with academic programs such as the Master Program in Regional Development and the Peace and Competitivity Program or development centers such as CEA. The philosophy has always been to go from thought to action
