Social Enterprises in Developing Countries

Objective: This article provides a bibliographic analysis and review of trends on the subject of social enterprises in developing countries. The number of publications per year, countries, authors, journals and universities are taken into account. Methodology: Bibliometric techniques and tools were used: R, Tree of Science and a network analysis, which classifies the consulted material into three sections with a similarity in the image of a tree; where the root corresponds to classic documents, the trunk to structural documents and the leaves to emerging sub areas or trends. Results: The outcomes show
three sub areas highlighted for future research on social enterprises: development, evolution, limitations of social enterprises, obtaining financial resources, organizational form and corporate social responsibility.
